Support Payments

Support payments are typically in the form of child support or spousal support.

Child support is the amount of funds that a parents or parents contribute toward the cost of caring for a child. Usually, the payor parent spends less time with the child(ren) and may earn more income.

 

Spousal support are funds paid by one spouse after a divorce or separation. The purpose of spousal support is to help a spouse become financially self-sufficient and avoid experiencing serious financial difficulty among other factors.
