About Our Firm
We strive to ease the stress and conflict of complicated family issues
The use of mediation as a mechanism to resolve disputes is not a new phenomenon in North America. Many types of mediation are a part of civil and provincial court programs. In Canada, Family Mediation is rapidly growing and will more than likely be mandated as seen in other provinces.
Throughout our development, we’ve relied on volunteers, apprentices, and training at a community level. Our firm began online out of a home office in 2017 working in conjunction with community based programs, churches, assisted living, long term care centres, and social recreation within Durham Region. Since then, we have grown immensely and curated our practice across Ontario. Our knowledge, experience, and standard approaches to conflict resolution are effective and uphold the core principles of Family Mediation.

Unlike other types of mediation, our approach to Family Mediation requires a bespoke level of understanding conflict resolution theory, psychology, interpersonal relationships. family dynamics, family law, child welfare and protection. Our firm recognizes the gravity of every family concern, screen for safety, assess points of conflicts, and facilitate balanced settlement for participants.
Our team of mediators are skilled professionals led by the firm owner – Shaylene Campbell. Shaylene holds an Honours Degree in Psychology and is a graduate of Trent University. Shaylene went on to join Ontario’s only university level Family Mediation Program at York University followed by apprentice programs at local mediation firms.
